Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka has expressed his happiness over the possibility of having Chelsea starlet Kenneth Omeruo at the the Riverside one more season on loan.
The defender spent the second half of last season with the Smoggies and cemented his place in the team as an important first team player.
Karanka has been busy securing a second loan deal for the 20-year-old after confirming last month he was keen to see him back at the North East side for the 2014/15 campaign.
“The most important thing is he (Omeruo) is happy to join us,” states the former Real Madrid assistant manager, according to dailystar.co.uk.
“He is the kind of player who is very important on the pitch and off the pitch,” says Karanka.
“He’s always ready to train, always ready to have fun, always joking.
“He is a player everybody loves; his team-mates, the staff, the supporters, everybody in the club and the town love him.”
Omeruo himself who had a good World Cup outing for the Super Eagles of Nigeria confirmed via his twitter account that he was heading back to the club and how excited he was to get back to playing for Middlesbrough.
