Portuguese giant FC Porto has finalised negotiations that will see Nigeria midfielder Michael Agu join Butrsaspor FC of Turkey on a loan deal, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Fanatik reported on Saturday that the Blue and White had series of talks with Bursa’s chieftains earlier in the week and an agreement was reached to allow the box to box midfielder move to Bursaspor this summer.
Agu is eexpected arrive at Bursaspor on Sunday of Monday to conclude signing formalities barring any last minutes hitches.
His arrival will increase the number of Nigerian players at the club to two after William Troost-Ekong joined in June.
The 24 years old became surplus to requirement at Porto despite his effort to tie down a regular shirt at the club. He was a delight to watch in the Porto reserve team and took part in the club's pre-season tour of Switzerland ahead of the new season.
Porto parade six Nigerians on their payroll in Chidozie Awaziem, Mikel Agu, Chidera Eze, Fidelis Irhene, Musa Yahaya and Moses John, but only Awaziem and Yahaya are close to the first team, while John is attached to the U-18s.
The duo of Eze and Irhene are out on loan to high flying second division side Portimonense who are set for promotion to the top tier in Portugal, while Agu has been earning rare reviews at his present loan side Vitoria Setubal.
