Turkish giants, Galatasaray have turned to Nigeria captain Mikel Obi in a bid to lure him to İstanbul for the fort coming season after they failed to capture Lucas Leiva Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
According to a report on AMK, Galatasaray see Mikel as an alternative for Leiva and have tabled a three-year deal worth £2.58m per-season for the 29-year-old midfielder.
Mikel has two years left on current deal at Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Mikel who is currently on national team duty with the Olympic Eagles at the 2016 Rio Olympics welcomed Manchester United's Paul Pogba by tweeting him a cheeky reminder of the time he nutmegged the Frenchman at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
