Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings has been banned for five matches following the incident that involved him and Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic during Saturday's 1-1 Premier League draw at Old Trafford.
Mings was caught on video stamping on Ibrahimovic's head, while the United star retaliated moments later with an elbow during an aerial contest.
Ibrahimovic was also charged by the Football Association but got a three-match ban on Tuesday after accepting the charge.
Mings however contested his own violent conduct charge and has now been given a longer ban.
"AFC Bournemouth’s Tyrone Mings will serve a five-match suspension, following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing today," the FA tweeted on Wednesday.
"Mings was charged with violent conduct in relation to an incident in or around the 44th minute of the game against Manchester United."
