Third-tier English club Rochdale forced Tottenham Hotspur to a replay in the FA Cup after they played out a 2-2 draw in the fifth round of the competition on Sunday.
The winner of this tie will face the victor of Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea.
Ian Henderson scored the on the stroke of half time to give Rochdale the lead but Lucas Moura making his first start for the club restored parity for Spurs in the 55th minute of the encounter.
Kane made it 2-1 from the spot with five minutes left to play after Dele Alli was brought down in the box but substitute Steve Davies made it 2-2 when he fired in Toby Alderweireld poor clearance in the 94th minute.
Both teams had their chances in the first half but it was Rochdale who took the lead with Henderson firing in Rochdale’s first goal in the 45th minute of the game.
Harry Winks was robbed of the ball in midfield which caught the Tottenham’s defence off guard for Henderson to beat Michael Vorm from close range.
The goal was Henderson’s seventh in the Emirates FA Cup for Rochdale this season.
At the start of the second half, Spurs piled pressure on the Rochdale defence and got rewarded with a goal when Moura latched on to Mohammed Sissokko’s pass to beat Josh Lilis from close range.
Eric Lamela came on for Harry Winks while Dele Alli and Harry Kane replaced Lucas Moura and Fernando Llorente.
