Moses Benched Again As Chelsea Edge Crystal Palace At Home

By Adeboye Amosu

Former Nigeria international , Victor Moses, was once again overlooked by Chelsea boss, Mauricio Sarri in the Blues 3-1 win against Crystal Palace at the Stamford Bridge on Sunday, reports Completesportsnigeria. com.

Moses who has found game time limited under the Italian has made two Premier League appearances for the West London club this season, both as a substitute.

Chelsea moved to second position in the table following the win, two adrift of leaders Manchester City who defeated Southampton 6-1 earlier in the day.

Alvaro Morata put Chelsea ahead with a neat finish from close range two minutes before the half hour mark.

The Blues failed to add to their advantage despite dominating the game for long spell and they were pegged by a fine strike by Andros Townsend in the 53rd minute.

The winger played a neat one-two with James McArthur before firing the ball into the net.

The hosts regained the lead in the 65th minute with Morata adding his second goal of the game.

The Spaniard struck the ball home following substitute Eden Hazard free-kick.

Chelsea got their third of the game 20 minutes from time with Pedro tapping home Marcos Alonso cross.

Chelsea Management has already told Victor Moses to leave the Club anytime of his chosen. He was told that because of his low level profile which they see as is rapidly deteriorating, the club told Moses that they have no short term or long term plan for him.
As an Edoman, and a pure blooded Nigerian, l wept for Moses. Throughout the summer, just 4 months ago, Moses was seen to be one of the best top players in England, Nigeria and in Africa. In fact, the whole World was on his feet. Then suddenly, Moses turned his back on his international commitments and announced, sadly and stupidly, that he would never want to play for his Nation ever again. Moses family in Benin City, his Club and Country were all shocked to their wit yet, he would not rescind that decision. Chelsea rule is, if you are not good enough for your National team then, you are not good enough for the Club. Moses was dropped immediately. By the time his Club saw how the Super Eagle National Team scored so many goals without him, the club now concluded Moses was not even good enough to lacs his booth for the Club at all. Moses, who was once the darling of the Chelsea Club was fired.
l shall conclude Moses sage in the future.

Sorry bro, there’s 50 shades of wrong in your post. Moses has never been a regular in Chelsea, in the years he played as a wing forward. He only became regular when Conte used him as a wing back all through his time at Chelsea. Sarri doesnt use a wing back, so Moses’ expert position is shut out. And as a wing forward, he is behind Hazard, Willian and Pedro in the pecking order. His problems has nothing to do with his decision to quit the Super Eagles. About the Chelsea policy… please quote from it, or share a copy of it since you have it. Thanks

And TeeJay Moses input as a wing forward is the least in Chelsea yet he’s our untouchable at the SE and I remember writing in this forum that after Amuneke, Amokachi, Finidi we have found it hard to get a reasonable winger with technical finishing as of today all the wingers we have will run the wings and strike without precision only by luck will they score and heaven will erupt. No wonder at club level they will be exposed. It is high time we start educating our wingers strikers about their finishing because this is where Moses has a big problem. Sometimes the way he strikes you don’t know if it is a pull out crossing or a shot attempt! I hope upcoming players like Chukweze will learn from the likes of Messi and Coutinho these are players who shot with precision

I have said it before and it is sad !

Moses should not have made that decision to quit the Super Eagles
He was a very important player and a vital part of an existing young national side that is currently striving to doing the business of a true African soccer powerhouse !!

Moses should have had it in mind that he can politely ask the grafter that he be excused in some national assignments if he feels he is not mentally or physically prepared for such matches and even the fans will adjust and accept his pleads but to outrightly and totally call it quit with a national team that has given you as much success and recognition as your various clubsides ….that’s a bit unreal most especially for his age and active  status in the game !!

I think one thing, Sir V Moses fail to understand is that national team participation also helps a player in his quest to remain relevant in his club and general soccer career !!

Just like my Bros Timaya talk..”Collabo too dey follow dey promote artiste career fa !!!

I wish V Moses success in his future efforts
I hope he finds a path and get another better club and continue playing and enjoy his football and career !
