This was disclosed to Complete Sports by spokesman of the Nigeria Football Federation, Demola Olajire on Sunday.
Eduok who plies his trade with Dolphins joined the Port-Harcourt team in 2010 from Akwa United and has so far scored 12 goals in the Glo NPFL.
“Due to the injury Moses sustained in their game on Saturday, he has been dropped by the coach to avoid aggravating the injury. He has been replaced by Dolphins striker Emem Eduok,” Olajire said.
Moses who is on loan from Chelsea, got injured after creating an assist for Charlie Adams in Stoke’s 3-1 loss to Sunderland on Saturday which resulted in his substitution.
After missing the Eagles games in the qualifiers against Congo and South Africa, he was listed for the Sudan double header but will now miss out due to the injury.
Meanwhile, the former Wigan Athletic player who expressed his disappointment following the injury, however twitted that he would bounce back very soon.
“Disappointed to lose today (Saturday) the lads gave everything, hopefully, i’ll be back fully fit very soon.”
