Moses Faces Bleak Future At Liverpool

By Izuchukwu Okosi:

The future of Super Eagles forward Victor Moses is uncertain following Liverpool’s interest in Serbian winger Lazar Markovic as reported by Caughtoffside.com

Moses who just finished his 2014 World Cup assignment with the Nigerian national team in Brazil played 19 games in total for the Reds, but failed to impress manager Brendan Rodgers and his loan deal is not likely to be renewed following the acquisition of Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana plus the impressive Raheem Sterling.

Chelsea, Moses’ parent club are also likely to call time on his Stamford Bridge career as more superstars make their way to the West London club.

Former Partizan Belgrade man, Markovic, is considered one of the hottest prospects in European football and the signing fits well with Liverpool’s youthful transfer policy.

Markovic started 30 matches in all competitions in his debut season in Portugal, scoring seven goals.

Markovic is a winger with real potential, and given Liverpool’s pursuit of Xherdan Shaqiri it would appear the youngster could be a player Rodgers looks to bring in to strengthen his options in the final third.

Earlier in the year, Moses insisted that he was keen to continue his stay at Liverpool rather than at Chelsea, but the summer arrivals at both Chelsea and Liverpool will go a long way in determining his future.
