–Says Stoke unlucky not to have won
Super Eagles winger Victor Moses has revealed that Stoke City were unlucky not to have ended Manchester United’s win-less streak of ten games at the Britannia stadium on New Year’s day.
Radamel Falcao swept in from a corner to equalise for United after Ryan Shawcross had given Stoke an early lead with a close-range volley.
Moses whose side Stoke have lost only once in six games tweeted: “The lads worked hard today and were unlucky not to get the win. Happy New Year everyone.”
Stoke were denied a penalty when Chris Smalling appeared to have handled the ball, while a Peter Crouch header hit the post.
A point was the least Stoke deserved, with the home side coping better with the blustery conditions and looking more likely to carve an opportunity from open play.
The 23-year old Nigeria international was a bright spark for the Potters until a thigh injury he copped against Burnley on November 22.
Moses has however played 10 games, made 17 key passes, three assists and has scored one goal for the Potters this season.
