Jose Mourinho has thrown another thinly veiled broadside at Arsene Wenger while labelling his FA fine a disgrace.
The Chelsea manager has blasted their decision to give him a £50,000 fine and a suspended one-match stadium ban for his comments following the defeat to Southampton prior to the international break.
Mourinho labelled referee Bobby Madley as being ‘afraid’ for not giving Chelsea a decision.
He also referred to the FA’s decision not to punish Wenger after the Arsenal boss called Mike Dean ‘weak and naive’ after Arsenal’s defeat to Chelsea last month.
“I’m happy that I don’t have an electronic tag,” the Mirror quoted Mourinho, who was speaking at Waterstones Piccadilly to promote his book title ‘Mourinho’.
“£50,000 is a disgrace. The possibility of getting a stadium ban is astonishing.
“The difference between afraid and weak and naive is £10,000 and one-match stadium ban.
“Afraid costs £50,000. Weak and naive – you can do it.”
In a clear reference to Wenger, Mourinho added: “We can push people in the technical area.”
