Jose Mourinho has stated that nothing has been concluded concerning Alexis Sanchez move from Arsenal to Manchester United.
United are on the verge of signing Sanchez in the current transfer window, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan is expected to join Arsenal in a swap deal.
Speaking during his Friday’s Press Conference ahead of United’s Premier League away clash against Burnley, Mourinho however confirmed that the deal is on.
“Nothing new, I think clearly everybody knows that we are there,” Mourinho said.
“When the Arsenal manager speaks so clearly like he did, there is no point in trying to hide or deny, but it is not done at all, so in this moment Mkhitaryan is our player.
“Sanchez is an Arsenal player and with a match tomorrow I want to switch off and focus on the most important thing, which is the match.”
Mourinho said Daley Blind is ruled out for the game against Burnley while Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will also not be in the squad for the away trip.
“Daley Blind picked up a “little injury” in training this week and is out of the trip to Burnley. Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic remain unavailable. Everyone else is fit and good.”
And commenting on Luke Shaw, the Portuguese gaffer expressed his delight that the left-back is beginning to show his potential.
“He is physically much better, mentally much stronger, tactically his understanding of the game is much better and what we need in different phases and circumstances, I’m really happy.
“You like the transfer market, I can say that in this moment I don’t see many left-backs better than this Luke Shaw.”
