Sunderland manager, David Moyes has praised Nigeria forward, Victor Anichebe for his impressive showing in the side's 1-0 win against Watford in their English Premier League clash at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The powerful striker who missed Wednesday's 1-0 defeat to Chelsea was passed fit to return to the Black Cats side after shaking off a thigh problem.
The former West Bromwich Albion star was one of the key performers for Moyes' men in the game.
Anichebe who made his eighth Premier League start for Sunderland in the encounter came close to scoring in the 67th minute but his effort sailed wide.
"Victor was immense in the second half and probably turned the game for us. Pound for pound, he is as good as any," the former Manchester United gaffer stated during his post match chat.
The win was Sunderland's third in their last four home games and lifted them off from the bottom of the table.
