Ahmed Musa fired home his third league goal of the season at the Arena Khimki as CSKA Moscow came from a goal down to beat FK Rostov 2-1 on Saturday.
The Nigerian international restored parity for his side in the 66th minute after Serdar Azmoun’s tenth minute goal had silenced the home crowd.
CSKA Moscow currently top the Russian log with 18 points from six game.
Also in Russia, Nigerian midfielder Fegor Ogude played all 90 minutes for Amkar Perm who slumped to a 3-1 loss at home to Spartak Moscow on Saturday.
Super Eagles invitee, Izunna Ugochukwu also of Amkar Perm, came on for Georgi Peev in the 68th minute for his fifth game of the season in the Russian League.
Meanwhile Dele Alli, who has Nigerian lineage, has expressed his delight after scoring his first ever Premier League goal for Spurs in their 1-1 draw away to Leicester City.
Alli, who joined the North-London club from MK Dons in the summer, put them 1-0 up with nine minutes remaining.
But an 82nd minute strike from Riyad Maurez levelled the score for Leicester.
Reacting after the game, Alli who thanked fans for their support to him, however expressed sadness that they didn’t secure all the three points.
“Thanks for all the messages! Delighted to get my first goal in the Premier League today (Saturday). Frustrated we couldn’t get the win. On to the next one,” he wrote on his Twitter handle.
Spurs are yet to earn their first victory since the commencement of the new campaign.
They have two points from three games after losing their first game 1-0 to Manchester United before drawing 2-2 at home to Stoke City.
