Nigerian stars, Al Farouq Aminu and Victor Oladipo both recorded mixed results with their teams, the Portland Trail Blazers and Indiana Pacers in the NBA on Thursday morning Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Aminu recorded his second double of the season featuring for 37 minutes in the Portland Trail Blazers’ 102-95 win over Miami Heats in what was his 14th appearance of the season. Portland Trail Blazer are now sixth in the Western Conference.
The D’Tigers star scored 15 points and 13 rebounds in the Blazers’ 14th win of the season in 27 games. His first double was against Indiana Pacers in October where he recorded 16 points and 16 rebounds for his side as they recorded 114-96 win in that encounter.
The Trail Blazers are away to the Orlando Magic in their next game on Saturday.
In Minneapolis, Victor Oladipo could only score 19 points, five rebounds and six assists for his side, the Indiana Pacers whose winning streak of four games ended with a 100-95 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunders.
Oladipo, who is the reigning Eastern Conference player of the week in the NBA, has played in all 27 games for the Indiana Pacers this season so far but could not help his side to another win over his former team.
The guard led the Pacers to four straight wins last week, averaging 30.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.8 steals.
The Indiana Pacers will host the Detroit Piston’s on Friday, seeking a seventh straight home win in the NBA series.
