Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, has congratulated the Super Falcons for winning the Women's Africa Cup of Nations for the tenth time (eighth in tournament format), Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Despite playing in front of a capacity crowd at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde, the Falcons played galantly to secure the win against the Indomitable Lionesses the final on Saturday.
Desire Oparanozie grabbed the only goal in the 84th minute to give the Falcons the win.
In celebration mood, Ndidi who plies his trade with Genk in the Belgian top flight, wrote on his Twitter handle: "Congratulations to the Super Falcons. We are proud of you ladies for being champions for the eight time."
