Nigeria midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, is disappointed to see Leicester City lose their English Premier League clash against Watford at the Vicarage Road on Tuesday, reports Completesportsnigeria. com.
The Foxes went down to 2-1 defeat against their hosts despite dominating the game for a long spell.
Claude Puel’s men went ahead in the 37th minute through Algeria winger Riyad Mahrez eight minutes before the break, but were pegged back through a goal by Molla Wague and an own goal conceded by goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.
Ndidi insists that his team’s failure to convert their chances cost them the game but hopes they will avoid same mistake in subsequent matches.
“We are very disappointed to lose against Watford, but we must now focus on the next game” Ndidi tells the Leicester City’s official website.
“We created so many chances in the first half and could have sealed it and would have also given us more confidence in the game.
“We have to learn from that and avoid making same mistake in subsequent matches.
“The equalising goal gave them the confidence to come out at us and they won at the end of the day.”
Leicester City will face Liverpool at the Anfield this Saturday, December 29.
