Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi scored his first goal for Leicester in their 3-1 win against Derby County after extra-time in the fourth round replay of the English FA Cup at the King Power Stadium on Wednesday night.
Ndidi who was brought on for Nampalys Mendy prior to the start of extra-time, smashed in a left-footed strike from 25 yards in the 95th minute to put Leicester 2-1 ahead.
Ahmed Musa was on from the start but struggled to make an impact and went off for Islam Slimani before extra-time commenced.
Leicester had gone ahead in the 46th minute through Andy King who headed into the net from close range off Marc Albrighton’s assist.
But Abdoul Camara’s free-kick on 61 minutes from 20 yards which took a deflection saw Derby County draw level at 1-1.
And in the 114th minute Demarai Gray sealed Leicester’s passage into the next round with a piece of individual skill before finding the top corner to end the tie 3-1 in the Foxes favour.
Leicester will now face League One side Millwall in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
