By Adeboye Amosu: Nigeria international, Wilfred Ndidi, has hailed his Leicester City teammates after they scored a late goal to earn a 2-2 home draw against Manchester United in a Premier League clash on Saturday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Ndidi returned to the starting lineup for the home team after missing Tuesday’s Carabao Cup clash against Manchester City due to suspension.
The Foxes took the lead in the 27th through Jamie Vardy who slotted the ball into the net after he was set up by Riyad Mahrez who was fed with a long pass by Ndidi.
The visitors however rallied back scoring twice courtesy of Juan Mata in the in the 40th and 60th minutes.
Despite going one man down following Daniel Amartey’s dismissal 16 minutes from time, Leicester fought harder at tail end of the match, and Harry Maguire levelled scores for the hosts in the 94th minute.
A delighted Ndidi praised the efforts of his teammates in the encounter as well as the fans for their unflinching support.
“Great spirit from the team and also from the fans… we keep going!!! Merry christmas to you all.🎄,” the midfielder wrote on his Twitter handle.
