Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has handed Gernot Rohr a big morale boost ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia with his return to private training session, and the Nigerian team doctor assuring that the player will be fine for the Mundial, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Ndidi suffered a hamstring injury in Leicester City’s 5-0 defeat to Crystal Palace a forthnight ago.
He was replaced in the 57th minute of the defeat. Ndidi also missed the Foxes’ 2-0 loss at home to West Ham last Saturday.
The 21 year old tweeted a picture of himself undergoing a physical training on Monday.
“A sunny day to recuperate,” Ndidi tweeted on his Twitter handle on Monday with a photo of himself in training.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles Media Officer, Toyin Ibitoye, also revealed that the team doctor, Dr Ibrahim Gyaran has assured that the former Genk midfielder will be fully fit to make his debut appearance at the World Cup in Russia.
“Ndidi will be fully fit for the World Cup. There are no worries on that,” Ibitoye told CSN.
The former Genk of Belgium star has made 33 league apprearances for the Foxes this season with four assists.
