Ndidi, Iheanacho In Action As Leicester Fall To Man City; Chelsea, Liverpool Cruise

Manchester City continued their good run in the Premier League with a 2-0 win against Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.Super Eagles duo Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho were in action for Leicester with the latter replacing Marc Albrighton in the 67th minute. Ahmed Musa was left out as usual.

Gabriel Jesus and Kevin De Bruyne scored for Manchester City in the 45th and 49th minutes respectively.

Both players were also on target in the 3-1 win against Arsenal before the international break.

The win was City’s 11th and They are yet to lose a league game so far this season.

They remain top of the league table on 34 points after 12 games, while Leicester are 12th on 13 points.

At Anfield, Sadio Mane shook off his injury sustained while on international break as he was in the starting eleven for Liverpool who thrashed Southampton 3-0.

A brace from Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah in the 31st and 41st minutes and another strike from Philippe Coutinho on 68 minutes gave Liverpool the win.

Liverpool are now fifth on 22 points on the log, same points with Arsenal but ahead on superior goals scored.

And at the Hawthorns, champions Chelsea made it eight league wins this season as they thrashed West Bromwich Albion 4-0.

Alvaro Morata gave Chelsea the lead on 17 minutes before Eden Hazard doubled their lead on 23 minutes.

In the 38th minute Chelsea went 3-0 up through Marcos Alonso before Hazard scored his second goal to put Chelsea 4-0 on 62 minutes.

Chelsea occupy the second spot on 25 points, nine points adrift of leaders City.

In other results, Bournemouth trounced visiting Huddersfield 4-0, Burnley edged Swansea 2-0 at Turf Moor while at Selhurst Park, Everton forced Crystal Palace to a 2-2 draw.
