NPFL: Odey Scores Goal No.5 As MFM Shock Sunshine, IfeanyiUbah Edge Rangers

Stephen Odey scored his fifth goal of the season as high-flying MFM FC beat their hosts Sunshine Stars 1-0 at the Akure Township Stadium in a Nigeria Professional Football League match-day six encounter on Sunday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The young forward struck three minutes after the break to hand the Olukoya Boys the win.
Fidelis Ilechukwu’s men are now unbeaten in their last four NPFL games and now sit in second position with 13 points, one behind surprise leaders Plateau United.
In Ibadan, Shooting Stars put up a fine display to end Rivers United’s seven-game unbeaten run in the league by handing the visitors a 2-1 defeat.
The hosts who have failed to register a win in their last four games went ahead through Sunday Faleye in the 17th minute of the highly entertaining encounter.
Lukman Mohammed restored parity for the away side in the 29th minute, his first goal for the club.
3SC who dominated the game from beginning to the end got the winner 22 minutes from time through Jide Apena.
Leaders Plateau United maintained their unbeaten run by holding Nasarawa United to a goalless draw at the Lafia City Stadium.
FC Ifeanyiubah beat Enugu Rangers 1-0 in the South-East derby in Nnewi.

Abia Warriors secured their first win in three games after edging out Gombe United 1-0 in Umuahia with Sunday Adetunji scoring the winner six minutes from time.
El-Kanemi Warriors also beat Enyimba 1-0 in Maiduguri.
