Ndidi Plays Down Leicester City Exit Rumours

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has insisted that he has not thought about leaving Leicester City in this summer’s transfer window, reports Completesportsnigeria. com.

Ndidi, 21, joined Leicester from Genk in January 2017, and has made more than 60 appearances for the Foxes since arriving in English football.

A number of clubs are believed to be interested in signing the Nigeria international, although Leicester are said to be preparing to offer the midfielder a new contract.

“A transfer has never been on my mind. I feel very good at Leicester,” Ndidi told LeicestershireLive.

Ndidi, who represented Nigeria at the 2018 World Cup, cost Leicester in the region of £17m.

Boy…if a chance to move to a bigger club presents itself now…take it. You have proven you can do it. You were signed to replace Ngolo Kante but your stats this last season showed you dusted the man who covers the remaining 30% of the earth not covered by water. You practically walked into Leicester first XI and I cant remember ever seeing you sit on the bench. 60 games in 1.5 seasons shows your level is a step higher than LCFC. Your quality is worth seeing in any of Europa league or UCL. The English game suits you perfectly, but Germany or Italy will not be bad for you either…! May you walk and never stumble…!

Leicester city have at least 10 internationals in their squad. They are a club with money to go forward in the best league in the world. Leicester have also bought some good players this year, needing to get rid of the old defence that was letting the squad down, With Mahrez now gone the time is ripe to use Gray, Iheanacho and Musa and diabatte, plus a strong midfield, as long as puel can get the right mix, they are going places, including getting in Europe. Why go with such talent in the team. Also with the youngsters coming along, Choudrey, barnes, the future looks rosey. Stay ndidi, you will not regret it
