Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, made the most passes in Leicester City’s 2-1 loss to Manchester United in Friday’s 2018/19 English Premier League (EPL) season opener at Old Trafford, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Paul Pogba gave Manchester United the lead from the spot in the third minute. Luke Shaw scored United’s second goal eight minutes from time before substitute Jamie Vardy however reduced the deficit for Leicester two minutes in addittional time.
Ndidi who made his 51st EPL appearance for the Foxes in the encounter made 87 passes, 11 more than his teammate Adrien Silva and 19 more than Manchester United captain and World Cup winner, Pogba, according to the statistics page of the English Premier League.
His compatriot, Kelechi Iheanacho who led Leicester City’s attack was not listed in the top 20 best passers in the game.
Leicester City host newly promoted Wolverhampton Wanders on next week Saturday in their next game at the King Power Stadium.
