Nigeria midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, has expressed his delight over making his UEFA Champions League debut for Leicester City on Wednesday night against Sevilla, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Ndidi who joined Leicester during the January transfer window featured throughout the encounter.
Also in action for Leicester was Didi's Super Eagles teammate, Ahmed Musa, who was later subbed off for Demarai Gray.
Commenting on the outcome of the game, Ndidi stated that though it was not a favourable result for Leicester, they are focused on the second leg.
"Thank you Lord for my UEFA Champions League debut. Though not the result we wanted but unto the next one," Ndidi wrote on his Twitter handle.
Sevilla took the lead in the 25th minute through Pablo Sarabia before Joaquin Correa made it 2-0 on 62 minutes.
And on 73rd minutes Jamie Vardy gave Leicester a lifeline as he scored to end the game 2-1.
