Ndidi Tasks Himself, Leicester Teammates To Utilise More Scoring Chances

Nigeria midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, has tasked himself and Leicester City teammates to start putting away scoring chances beginning with their Premier League home clash against Bournemouth at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

Leicester has struggled in front of goal lately, scoring just one goal in each of their last five games (four EPL games and one FA Cup).

The last time Leicester recorded a high scoring margin was in their 5-1 FA Cup win against Peterborough in January.

The 2015/2016 Premier League champions are currently eight on 36 points in the League table.

Speaking ahead of the game against Bournemouth, Ndidi expressed hope that Leicester would get something positive, but however warned the Cherries will be very difficult.

“The chances are not being utilised but we’ll try to do what we know to do and create these chances,” Ndidi told Leicester TV which was posted on the club’s website.

“Every game is really tough, even if you’re at the bottom of the table. It’s really tough because it’s the Premier League and every team wants to win.

“So many teams are coming our way but against Bournemouth, we’ll just try to play and do our best. They’re a really difficult team, really difficult.”

Ndidi who has completed more tackles than any other player in England’s top flight, stated he has gained a lot as a player from Leicester quality stars and has continued to learn from them.

He added: “Everyone is fighting and wants to be in the team because everyone wants to play. Everyone wants to work hard for the team to win. I would say it’s going well and everyone is focused.

“I’ve really learnt a lot because I have so many quality players around me and sometimes I try to imitate them and do what they do. Even if I make mistakes, it doesn’t matter because I always try.”

  • It would be great, if Wilfred Ndidi could improve on his goals scoring ability which could make him hotcake for top European teams, this could be an apparent advantage for Nigeria and himself
