What Next For The Super Eagles After 2015 AFCON Elimination?

What Next For The Super Eagles After 2015 AFCON Elimination?

Nigeria will not defend its 2013 African Cup of Nations title in January 2015 after the Super Eagles were held to a 2-2 draw by the Bafana Bafana of South Africa at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo on Wednesday, and thus failing to beat Congo Brazzaville to the second qualification spot of Group A.

Stephen Keshi’s team finished third in Group A of the qualifying tables with eight points which was also not even enough to guarantee the team the best losers’ spot, a feat achieved by Congo DR.

So Nigeria are now the deposed African champions, unable to play at the second AFCON to be hosted by Equatorial Guinea after they failed to qualify for the finals co-hosted by Equatorial Guinea and Gabon in 2012.

What is your opinion about the outcome of Wednesday’s game and what do you think is the way forward after the disapointment of crashing out of the 2015 African Cup of Nations?

Do you think Stephen Keshi should continue his job as the Eagles coach? Give reasons for your stance. How about the playing personnel? Which player(s) do you feel deserve to continue playing for the national team and who should perhaps call time on their international careers?

Keshi should just go. he has outlived his usefulness. He has run short of ideas, he has nothing to offer to the national team again.

  • Why can’t we read through the lines in Nigeria? haba !! Ghana coach got relieved of his job because of bad results. Why can’t we do the right thing at the right time? HMN ,the more we leave Keshi as eagles coach, the more problem we shall encounter. I am just waiting to read the applologies once again from the coach and his players and see if we will continue to revolve or parambulate in our shell of same story. Please i am not castigating Keshi but he is not a good coach,he can’t give what he don’t have .Period.

  • the coaching crew has given their best to the national tea, they should step aside and not wait to be asked to leave. the NFF should get us a foreign coach cause the major issue our team is currently suffering from is lack of tactics and the present coaching crew has shown repeatedly they lack this. lets try new hands and a big thank you to Keshi and his crew they gave their best.

  • Abioye Oyedoja 4 years ago

Keshi or the coaching crew is not the reason behind the inability of super eagle to qualify for the AFCON 2015. From my own point of view, the problem and the setback came from the glass house ( I am referring to the NFF ) , they ( NFF board ) are killing football in Nigeria with their greedy attitude. This is the right time to probe Aminu Maigari and his cohort in the glass house then. May God save Nigeria.

It is indeed a sad day for Nigerian football and a very disappointing outing for Nigeria. Everyone under-rated the South Africa, thinking it will be business as usual and we get paid for it dearly. The players let the nation down, particularly after raising hopes with a hard fought 2-0 win in Congo. They did not fight enough from the beginning, only starting to show hunger and desire after going 2-0 down. Am particularly gutted for you gentlemen of the press as it is a great loss economically speaking for them. Other than that, am not disappointed we missed out on Afcon, especially after winning unexpectedly in SA last year.

Stephen Keshi has done his beat and should definitely go. As a matter of fact, I expected him to have issue a statement to the President immediately after yesterday’s game to apologize and thereafter resigned honorably.

The team should be disbanded immediately with the following players retained – Enyeama, Musa, Aron, Aluko, Oshaniwa,Onazi, Omeruo, Moses, etc and blend with the class of 2013 Eaglets to raise a new team.

  • I hope the editor should have direct this question to GEJ

We got what we worth on the pitch of play, what was omerou, Ambrose and the like of our No.9 man doing on the field for 90 minutes?.Keshi was never a good coach,it was luck that won us the AFCON cup last year, imagine a coach saying that the best legs in the likes of Iheanacho is still small and should wait for his time when Mikel have turn our mid field to disco hall?.God help naija

It is very clear that Pinnick knows what he is doing when he sacked Keshi. Everyone agree now that Keshi has nothing more to add to the S.E. Keshi should leave immediately. People should know when to call it quit. He has undone all he did in our football.
We should now go for a well tested and experienced coach who will move our football to rank with our equals such as Brazil, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Agentina, France etc. we should not be made to struggle with teams as Congo, South Africa, Gabon, Ethiopia etc. we are well above this zone.
The Coach should decide who makes the team but such players as Ambose, low form Omeruo, Salami, Ajebo, etc, must not be seen near the team. Players as Eyeama, Martins, Moses, Aluko, Musa, Osaze, Uche, Anichebe, Sammy Amuobi, are good materials. Mikel and Onazi if they will drop playing senior boys football can be considered.
Keshi toyed with our player selection going for his favorites as against excellence and quality. It must never happen again. In his short stay he used countless number of players. It’s never a way to build. He Ignored young professionals but SA showed him soccer lessons with young players from under 17 and 20.
Finally Pinnick must be supported to move our football forward.

I have never seen our team, that was unable to win when our opponent are in shot 1,this show that there’s plan,he just put them on pitch, without looking and controlling their fitness.cos it get to a stage that i can’t understand our format, all i see is that we keep playing on way traffic game,we fail to open their midfield by movement through the wings, but they insist to pass through the bafana, bafana cage to score…..so all i see is tacticalphobic of our coach…..
Since he has been coaching,he has called all sort of players that has nothing to do with our team.
    1-confederations cup in 2013.he failed.
2-World cup in 2014,he called chickens in place of Eagles, without telling them how, when and where to move,no plan on how to attack and defend….
3-Afcon 2015 qualification,he keeps calling players out of form, like mikel, efe, elderson.in some crucial matches, cos i don’t think a coach must have a fix position for some set of players even if they are out of form…cos in the qualification, our midfield is so weak,in september,he called Mba,Nosa,in novemeber Aluko, lawal.so how can this team improve, when he keeps calling new players, players that are new to the system….like yesterday format…..

    . eye.
    .efe. .eku. .ome. .ju1.

    .onazi. .mikel. .lawal.

    .emenike. .uche. .musa.

So can someone tell me if this is an ideal format for our team?a good coach will tell efe n ju1 not to climb at the same time, cos musa,n emenike don’t return, which will be problem for the midfield n defense.now offensive map.

    .eye.

    .eku. .ome.

    .onazi.

    .mikel. .lawal.

    .efe. .emenike. .uche. .musa. .ju1.

How can we play like this yet we can’t score?cos conceiving a stupid goal, with our attack we must score like 6…but when we have our two wingers climbing, there will be nobody to pull out for,and the coach says nothing, which means OUR GUYS PLAYED WITHOUT A COACH THAT AT THE END WANTS TO GET PAID…..KESHI MUST GO.

  • iykeman 4 years ago

Honestely;it is very sad that Nigeria the great football nation fail to qualify African nation cup final next january. personally, Keshi should be blame for the elimiation. Keshi should know Emmanuel Emenike should have been remove from the early first half ,because Emenike was in the field catching the wind in the field. He has lost form and he is not a natural striker,.A natural striker always score goals especiall when the goals matters.I don’t know why Keshi leave him in the pitch throughout the intervals.,He could have bring Aluko in the first half, and Aaron Samuel, instead of Emenike. Kenneth Omerua was not fit in yesterday game because he has injury and it cost Nigeria defence expose and from there the south African have the field day. Keshi make a sily mistake on that regard to feilding Kenneth Omerua. Keshi make Juwan Oshanuwa to labour so much alone in the defence line.He could used Kwambe who is fit . Nigeria could have won yesterday match if the right leg have been used to get maximum result we need. As a team every department should be score goals. look at the match yesterday, nigeria players leave South Africans playing the game as if that there is no business and Keshi was there sitting down and watching like a girl who come to take care of new baby. That is not what a good coach suppose to do inthat critical time.Look at Belgium coach ,he is smart i the pitch whenever the Red Devils of Belgium national team is playing a match. Infact its a shame Nigeria didnt qualify. My advice is that NFF should recruit Nigeria coach who knows our players very well what they can do in the pitch .Nigeria bless with talented coaches.I don’t abide in foreign coach because they don’t know our players. Coaches like Sunday Olise, shaibu Amaodu, Samson Saisia, Give the coaching job to the person who know football very well like Jay jay Okocha. Finally any oncoming SUPER EAGLE coach should invite Kelechi Ihenacho.Kelechi Ihenacho is very important in the super eagle.God help Nigeria football. Let the team disband that’s all.We dont have a team.

OUR SPORT JOURNALIST ARE INVOLVED IN THE WRECK OF SUPER EAGLES ,THEY COLLECT MONEY FROM THE SO CALLED MANAGERS OF THIS LAZY PLAYER AND PROMOTE THEM IN THEIR VARIOUS NEWSPAPERS.

SEE BALLITOLI IS NOT PLAYING WELL AND THE PRESS DID NOT SPARE HIM BUT IN NIGERIA MONEY DICTATES THE GAME.

  • micheal 4 years ago

Like seriously I can’t see anything wrong with Stephen Keshi except he keeps invited different playerz in each match dat have not yet master de Super Eagles tactics but to be Frank this Player called Ahmed Musa is not a good player, he can only run n sometimes dribble but can’t dribble like upto 2playerz, he is wasted our chances of qualifying and he is prone to that. Some players like Ahmed musa, Mikel nd Aluko shouldn’t be playing for us, Nigerian’s need to recruit new players, we have young talent players like some of our under 20 nd under 23 players….they should bear in mind that they don’t have second keeper if Enyeama gets injured thats the final. Goalkeeper like Alampasu should be training regularly with the super Eagles don’t know why the Coach is saying he is too young that he needs more experience….how old is Courtois and De Gea….pls nd pls players like Iheanacho, Mohammed, Azeez, Alampasu, okon etc should be called they have a raw talent to add to the Super Eagles !

  • Matmode 4 years ago

Imagine Super Eagles (though I don’t think anything is super about them) couldn’t eat Banana Banana even with one man down. I’ve said it b4 that Keshi has nothing 2 offer. Last Afcon we won by chance not by Keshi’s technicality. If my opinion will count, let’s hand over Eagles 2 Siasia instead of hiring a foreign Coach. If we can go down memory lane u will discover that Eagles played better football under Siasia. Let him use this 2 years break 2 build a team 4 Nigeria.

  • happy nigerian 4 years ago

i am happy nigeria didnt qualify, we have become complacent and cocky always believing that by some miracle or by divine providence we must qualify, well… we didnt put our best and thus we didnt qualify, time to go back to the drawing board! asides the nff, players and the supporters club, how has will the absence of nigeria from this tournament affect the price of garri, provide potable water or rescue the north east from the hands of insurgents?

  • Philip Olaoluwa Ige 4 years ago

The super eagles need a new coach, Keshi’s time was up since after the world cup. We need a coach that will call up our best legs for matches and will always have a solid bench.
The team need an overhaul, we need players who can do something meaningful with the ball in the midfield just like Babatunde did at the world cup. We also need players that can pull out balls from the wings like Finidi, Tijani and Amuneke all did during their playing days.

In everything give thanks to GOD who knows the beginning, and the end. Although it is disheartening and scandalous that the African champion could not defend the cup won last year but at the same time let us give thanks to GOD for our failure will be a lesson for us if only we are ready to take to correction, and stop the fire bridge approach to our systems in the aspects of life. The earlier we start the preparation will be better, and let the NFF put their houses in order by doing the right thing. The issue of owing the coaching crews is not good at all .Also let the coaching crews always inject the young talented players into the team without any sentiment, tribal, and insincerity which is affecting the systems in the country. We need serious minded people in the areas of the life, and not unprepared .

I HAVE SAY IT BEFORE AND I WILL KEEP SAYING IT THAT KESHI IS NOT A GOOD COACH THE EAGLES JUST WON LAST NATIONS CUP WITH COLLECTIVE EFFORTS NOT THAT IT IS KESHI EFFORTS BECAUSE HE DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT COACHING LOOK AT YESTERDAY MATCH AGAINST BAFANA BAFANA WHEN THEIR COACH MADE SUBSTITUTION AND IMMEDIATELY THEY SCORED THEIR FIRST GOAL BUT OGA KESHI JUST SIT DOWN ON THE BENCH WATCHING EMENIKE THAT HE IS NOT IN THE GAME HE CAN NOT CHANGE HIM TILL THE END OF THE MATCH NO TACTIC THE TEAM JUST PLAYING KICK AND FOLLOW FOOTBALL NO PATTERN. IN FACT IT WAS A DISGRACE TO OUR FOOTBALL. THEREFORE NFF SHOULD JUST LOOK FOR A GOOD FOREIGN COACH TO HELP OUR FOOTBALL PERIOD…GOD BLESS NAIJA.. GOD BLESS NFF AND GOD BLESS EAGLES ONE LOVE….

Why are nigerian fans soo short sited. With all coaches we’ve had in past 15 yrs have won us any trophy. You dont win world cup, euro, asian, or nations cup by chance or luck it takes hard work. Keshi (Amokatchi) n Siasia are the arebest home grown coaches we have of course he is mot murihno but he took us past wc grp stage n won nations cup lets keep improving n building. Give him time lets build n try again. You cant win trophies every year sometimes you lose too. Keshi has done well its hard to coach naija too much wahala from fans, nff, n some players

  • Guys thanks for all your good comments, could you believe i can’t sleep yesterday !! with all the talent, brain and strenth God gave to us in Nigeria, we are exhibiting craps as the best.Believe me if a good coach should comb Nigeria all these our first team will be history. The players show no seriousness, no team work couple with Mr.pepeye Keshi, instead of putting his right players he started eliminating the best on excuses. Sunday Mba was no more good, John ogu is no more good,Moses plays for his club keshi cooked up unnecesary excuse not inviting him,HA There is God o o o o.If he keeps the bulk of that nations cup team with few inclusion by now the team would have take shape but he started showing big head. Let him resign in shame. Nigeria must move on, Keshi has lost it big time. Thanks

  • raymond ezeala 4 years ago

Stephen Keshi should go.Tactically he is not sound which became very evident immediately Sylvanus Okpala was removed from the coaching crew. His business interest ( Soccer Agent ) also affects his decisions if not there is no reason why a below average player like Raheem Lawal should displace creative midfielders like Sunday Mba and Kelechi Iheanacho.Daniel Amokachi is very useless in that team.

Dear god of soccer, plse by fire and by thunder remove or consume all the selfish people wey only care for their bank account, starting from the glass house to the coach to all the people wey follow reduce this our team to super chicken.especially the yeye chickens wey Dey answer eagles,I wonder how a professional player no fit trap common ball,no fit dribble or even create chance, infact I see say na juju den Dey use get foreign contract, because them no even sabi the basics of football atalll.de one wey de pain me pass na this kick n follow style of play,no pattern na just kick n follow, how can two strikers be dragging for one ball in the 18 box.na waoo e mean say them know even know their wings.hae every Day this yeye players Dey make me miss okocha, okocha wey go set any defence in comotion before dem wake up we don Dey celebrate goal,if somebody like mikel is considered as top player in our national team den we have become a shadow of okocha days, god abeg we need another okocha, forgive say we missuse am,just give us even if na half okocha atleast e go better pass mikel, onazi n other yeye so called midfielders join together.uche abeg forgive keshi, maybe na cos u no Dey pay am ur dues.I see ur good work for field, like u pay ur dues on time maybe we for qualify cos u be the best player we get now.abeg god, with ur fire unseat keshi,n his chickens n give us back the set of 90s.this I asks in football name. eseeeee.

  • I really want say a brief about what happened and why we could not qualify to the next year AFCON, which we won last year. I think we started very poorly and we did not really prepare for the games as the boys are just coming and thinking that things will just workout. A wise man says that your level of preparation will determine your result you will get the truth is that south Africa are really and well prepare even Congo but we are just glooming in the past glory. To my own opinion I don’t think KESHI is a bad coach but one thing about coaching job sometimes things will go wrong that will makes you look like you don’t know what you are doing but we also know that the same KESHI and his crew won the AFON on 2013 and many of us we are all saying good about him. So what am saying here is that foreign coach is not our problem cos South Africa was not using but a local coach so lets allow Keshi and give him more time to do more job check the profile of current German Coach you will findout that it has been years he started working with German team and nothing really happen not until the last world cup he won in Brasil now everyone is saying he is a very good coach. Building a team is not a day project it take quality time and years in as much as you can not give Julius berger a contract and expect them to do it in a year or two it takes time and years to build it.

If those guys are able to put all those chances they missed away those fools will not be calling for Keshi`s head, you people problem is that you still believing you ve got good players which is a nacked lies, you people have been attacking your coach because of that Villareal Guy like hes a Messi, non of your so called stars play top football in europe, the only top club player you ve got is Mikel and he hardly gets a starting shirt unless if you want to call CSK MOSCOW,CELTIC,etc top clubs, Come to the coach, who else have you got over there that has not been there and fail before ?..AMODU,SIASIA ?..or you wanna say big mouthed OLISEH,LAWAL,IKPEBA..?..you need to get real with yourselves, you all should say what you want which is a WHITE COACH, Those are the people you ve been paying millions of dollars in the past with nothing to show for it,.White coaches love working with Nigerians because they know that white skin is like god to you,.anyone blaming the coach is a perfect example of a fool even a Mourinho will fail with those players you ve got all over the world, hopefully the U17 guys will develop to better players and you can start hoping again but for now just eat and go to bed and hopefully one day you will save yourselves from your backward mentality

  • of course Keshi should resign and go use his millions with his family in USA. the rush to bring a foreign coach is wicked. let us have a conglomerate of coaches under Amudu. the victorious under 17 coaching crew should be drafted in immediately for them to start work with his boys as they are mature now. Enyeama. Aluko. Aaron Samuel. UCHE Ik. Musa. Moses. these should be the bedrock of the team. others should be dropped unless the are first team players in their clubs.

  • good day Nigeria. Pls kindly allow kechi to go he has done is best let another person be in charge again for for now.

    @Saint Palmer,
Just one quick question sir. Please give a straight answer to avoid any contradictions. No much explanation….just answer me please. WHO INVITED THOSE PLAYERS IN THE FIRST PLACE?

  • stanslinks 4 years ago

South Africa saw it coming, they quickly changed their coach, Ghana saw it coming, they quickly did the same. Nigeria saw it coming and their football spectators and fans cried out for a change. They flashed that change like a Nigerian with limited credit on his phone, then Goodluck who watches only the half time period of Super Eagles games decided to interfere. And the result is no AFCON for the next two years. What a pity. In America, if you get kicked in the face, its your fault…except offcourse if you are blind.

  • @ saint palmer, can i ask you your nationality? I don’t understand this comment of yours? you are telling me Nigeria don’t have players, you are wrong on this, you know the players the coach called to play for him at the expense of good and extablished players. Anichebe, Obasi, Haruna, Moses and host of them,It is the coach fault, he invited the players he like. Ihenacho shone like a million stars in Mancity pre season, How old is hazard, lacazette, iksten before they are called to their national team. A stranger can’t claim to know the house more than the owner. On the issue of players you missed it .If you are giving explanation on puclic medium please conduct yourself and avoid abusive language. Thanks

@Marsh, I know that once upon a time you were on KickOff and you were a staunch supporter of Keshi. Now you are not bold to reveal your true identity as you used it on KickOff. But don’t worry, your way of writing and mannerism gives you away.
Back to Keshi’s issue, what do you now expect use to do with Keshi after his series of woeful results, retain him? Infact you must be daydreaming ust as Keshi has been living in the dream land ever since he won the nations cup. I am saying it again, if Keshi is sacked go and retain him as the coach.

God will surely help us cos we I have been seeing the eagles playing ever since simply shows the coaches have nothing to offer. The home base played under Amokachi and played with determination and now the so called pros under the head coach? Musa was a shadow of himself efe has nothing to offer lawal too weak that even a little body check he’s off the ground Mikel Na wa onazi wasn’t in the game Emenike was lost then keshi confused. We need to start afresh and let go the past.

  • St. Palmer…whatever you call yourself…..you and the other guy is a MAD MAN with an empty brain……All these are nigerians……..Agbonlahon, Sidney Sam, Anichebe, Lukman Haruna, Chinedu Obasi , Kelechi Iheaacho, Martins, Victor Moses,Osaze, Ameobi, the new intend strker at dortmund to replace imobile and many others. Are they not all better than all the legs that keshi invited aside frm uche and sonn aluko

Government interference killed our AFCON dream. Recall that the new NFF led by Amanju Pinnick had done the right thing by relieving the inept Stephen Keshi and his coaching team of their jobs following the dismal run of the Eagles during the qualification. But to my uttermost surprise, President Goodluck Johnathan, who should ordinarily be focused on governance surprisingly, overturned the decision of the NFF and imposed Keshi on us. Without blinking an eye with shame, Keshi accepted and continued with his philosophy of alienating quality players – Mba, Ideye, John Ogu, Ihenacho, Martins, Abduljelil Ajagun, Victor Moses to mention but few. Instead he remained adamant that these players were too young, too old or playing in 3rd-Tier leagues. Yet he continues to bewilder the imaginations of millions of Nigerians by extending invitations to benchwarmers, protégé of business associates and players playing in obscure leagues. There are several examples of these: Recall how we went to the World Cup with Gabriel Reuben, Uchebo, Nwofor, Egwueke etc. at the expense of established stars that could have made the difference. We ended up playing in the world cup with just 2 midfielders – Onazi and Mikel and when the former got injured against France, we lost out of the world cup.
After being reinstated by the President, he continued to do his business as usual with pride and impunity – extending invitations to unheralded players and bench warmers while he continued to alienate our AFCON heroes – Moses, Mba and Ideye. Fellow Nigerians, let us say no to the Tyranny of any government and refuse to allow Keshi or the NFF determine our joy. Who says Nigeria lacks talent. We have Moses Simmon, Ighalo, Sammy Ameobi, and other exciting internationals abroad. We need a change. Let’s stand up against imposition and mediocrity. God bless Nigeria

To retain keshi is to drive Nigeria further backward. We all know that mr keshi is incapable of leading the team to the next level. I have expected him to have resigned honourably after the dismal outing of his team. That is the practice the world over, may be he has been assured of the safety of his job by G.E.J. It is the coach that shoulders the blame when a team fails,i dont know why some people are trying to exonerate keshi now. chelsea, madrid, barcelona and recently man.utd have change their coaches for simple reason. “failure”

First of all I want to thank God for taking us to this level. Every body are saying bring foreign coach, replace him siasia, Amodu, sometimes i wonder how we Nigerians reasons, all this people have been given a chance and they failed every then body were saying oh siasia is not good, oh Amodu is not good, now most of you guys are saying let invite siasia and the rest. In the past we invited a foreign coaches but they did nothing to our football, to me keshi tried his dear best for the nation, i no is very painful losing out from the tournament but keshi is not the problem of our football. Some even went ahead to mention players like Anichebe, sedney Sam, Agbonlahor all this players have been call up before but they refused to come and play for us so why are we still mentioning their names? Am not against Mr keshi some of you guys are insulting much and is not good but if nff want to sack him they should bring someone that will deliver, or someone that will not lost a match through out his stay. We are not talking like a real Nigerians. Keshi may Almighty God bless you for your best. What was the players doing?

First, let me ask a question, did coach play football with his players on the field? of course no, the problem is not the coash but the players, they dont even show a fighting spirit no bite in them at all, they played like amateur, i am ashamed for them on that day. honestly, i dont think any coach can succeed with players of like them, people are talking about Mikel, that guy has nothing to offer, people nearly kill Keshi just because he didnt invite Uche, now he has invited Uche, what happens, nothing, Uche was no where to be find on the field, a tree cannot never make a forest, now people are talking of Siasia, he was there once and he failed samething with Amodu, people, let take Asenal wnger for example, he has won many games and at the same time lost many games but he is still the manager, they didnt kill him just because he didnt qualified asenal for a certain competition, look at what happend in last world cup, Spain coach is still in charge, portugal coach is still in charge and many others countries that was eliminated earlier in wordcup, Westeroff didnt succeeded not untill after fours year, how may years it takes Keshi to qualified Nigeria for nations cup and won it just his first time as a Nigeria coach, what are you expecting Keshi to do when NFF was in chaos, no proper organization for many months, no one to take order from , no one to report to when other countries are on the field practising for nations cup competion whereas NFF was struggling within themselves and it took the coaches plan backward, to cut it short, let us allow the coach to be, let NFF and Nigerians support him and his crew , let people or NFF show him his fault and make some corrections, going for knew coach or white coach will never solve the problem, keshi is trying, no one is praying for failure but when it comes, there is nothing we can do, when Okocha was playing didnt we lost games, we does, Okocha was my best player but we lost games during his playing time, didnt Ferguson lost games in Marshester United, he does, so, lets allow Keshi to carry on but he should listen to some advise from those whom he know that they know much about football, not to do what he like with 0ne hundred and seventy millions people.

    @All you few Keshi’s supporters.
Let’s assume it was the players fault, but a teacher is adjudged by how well his students did in an exam. And a coach is as good as his last result. In Keshi’s case, please research how many games he has played since the last AFCON ended. How many was won, how many was drawn and how many was lost? Your findings would leave you screaming shokolokobangoshay! No coach has ever been given the privilege, support and free hand like Keshi. Also do a research on this. You cannot play about 35 games and win less than 5 and still say you are good or you want more time. More time for what? Did Mr. President know this part of the story?

There is no coach that has lasted forever, weather in Nigeria or outside Nigeria. So his case will not be different. He should also give others a chance to try. It took him over 5 minutes to make that change after SA went down to 10 men, meanwhile the match was just 20 minutes to stoppage time. You don’t have to be too knowledgeable in football to know what to do immediately your opponent gets a red card when you need a win badly. As much as some are criticizing the players sluggishness, their attitude on the pitch reflects Keshi’s relaxed way of doing things. It is called “the shadow of the leader.”

He has brought many Nigerians a lot of pain and he is not willing to leave this matter for Matthias. What part of NO or GO does he not understand? The people (Nigerians) you are trying to make happy says they don’t want your type of happiness, you remain adamant, insisting you must keep coaching. Let him not become another Giwa that wants to be NFF Presido by force by fire ooo!

Football is not played on the field only. Management (of players, publicity, backroom staff, stadium, etc) is not done by the coach. Let us get the management first, I mean the glass house should be in order before it can translate the good work to the pitch.
