The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) are optimistic that they will soon iron out contract issues with Stephen Keshi.
The last few weeks have seen contract negotiations at a standstill after Keshi failed to agree to a proposal from the NFF for the job of Nigerian national team head coach.
But following Wednesday’s talks, when Keshi, his brother, his manager and his lawyer met with the NFF technical committee chairman Felix Anyansi-Agwu, technical committee member Ahmed Fresh, head of legal department Okey Obi, director of marketing Idris Adama and deputy secretary general Emmanuel Ikpeme the association are fairly confident that a solution is in the pipeline.
“It was a very good meeting and we have made tremendous progress,” said Anyansi-Agwu.
“The meeting still continues and in days to come we would inform you of our position but all I can say now is that we have made progress and things are looking good.”
Keshi himself though refused to comment after the meeting.
The technical committee set to meet again on Thursday to put together their recommendations to the NFF board.
