NFF: No More War In Nigerian Football

The Executive Committee meeting of the Nigeria Football Federation ended on a good note on Friday with all aggrieved parties sheathing their swords and pledging never to go back on warpath again, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

The Nigeria Football Federation Publicity Chairman, Emeka Inyama while briefing the stakeholders present at the NFF Secretariat thanked the President, Goodluck Jonathan and also the Sports Minister, Tammy Danagogo for his fatherly love and wise counsel to them which culminated in the peaceful resolution of the impasse.

Friday’s meeting Completesportsnigeria.com can report was an interactive session devoid of any bitterness with all parties promising that henceforth there will be peace in Nigerian football, and the constant litigation would now be a thing of the past.

During the meeting in Abuja this afternoon, it was resolved that every interested persons are free to contest the NFF elections without inhibitions.

Meanwhile, there will be a formal board meeting of the NFF board next week Thursday, July 24th, to discuss ways of moving the game forward in Nigeria.

The path is now clear for the Nigerian U-20 Women’s national team to travel for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup kin Canada, between August 5-24, 2014.
