Rest on, our greatest striker whose name was synonymous with goals in the early nineties. He still remains arguably the most idolised Nigerian footballer.

  • Yeking in those days. I remember his exploits in Asec Memosa F C and Vitoria Setubal of Portugal his goals’ record is yet to be broken in Setubal and Super Eagles respectively. It will take another century to breaking his record in Nigeria Football.

Wow! Shame unto NFF as to regard to how careless they treated this hero while he was alive. There was no support from the NFF while he was Ill and even now that he’s dead, they haven’t immortalized him. It just now that they remember that one Rashidi Yekini exist one time like that. I was amazed when I got to FIFA World cup official page on Facebook, few months ago they’ve been writing post about him and people all over the world praising him even more than we Nigerians do. CSN viewers can visit that page to confirm. God bless CSN for always remembering this hero
