The Nigeria Football Federation is planning to revisit the attache programmes, which will see national team coaches learn from top managers in Europe in 2016.
In an exclusive chat with Completesportsnigeria.com, NFF secretary Dr. Sanusi Mohammed revealed that efforts are in the pipeline to ensure the likes of Sunday Oliseh, Samson Siasia and other national team coaches understudy some of the best coaches in the world once the governing body’s finances are in good shape.
The programme which could last for a week or two, will serve to help coaches who may not have the strong financial muscles to undergo refresher courses abroad.
Under the programme, the home coach would be part of club training as well as undergo scientific training on how to manage and get the best from players and more importantly get themselves abreast with modern trends of the game.
“We intend to commence the attaché programmes for all national team coaches once we’re able to afford it,” Sanusi told Completesportsnigeria.com. “It is important we keep the coaches abreast with the latest tricks of the game. That programme will commence very soon.”
