Mena of Niger Republic coach Francois Zahoui has declared his admiration for Super Eagles style of play and quality after his team were mauled 4-1 in here Kigali on Monday.
Speaking after his team's 4-1 loss to Nigeria, the former Elephant of Cote d’Ivoire coach said the Nigerian team demonstrated their huge experience against The Mena of Niger in the West Africa derby, describing the clash as David and Goliath encounter.
Zahoui tipped Nigeria to go all the way to the final of the of on-going Orange Africa Championship if their performance on Monday is anything to go by.
“Nigeria was much more the better side," Zahoui said.
“We came against a better Nigeria side that are good enough to win the competition.”
The Niger manager however expressed worries over his team’s chance of progressing to the knockout stage given the pedigree and quality of teams in the group.
He assured their teeming fans never to give up on his team despite Monday's loss and promised to keep working on his team as they face Guinea on Friday.
“We will keep working hard even though it would be hard to qualify considering the pedigree of teams in the group,” he said.
