Nigeria’s U-20 side, the Flying Eagles will hope to do the double over their Tanzanian opponents when both teams clash  in the second leg, second round tie of the African Youth Chmapionship qualifier today at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kano.

Manu Garba’s men won the first leg 2-0 in Dar es Salaam a fortnight ago and are firm favourites to advance to the third round of the qualifiers.

Alhassan Ibrahim one of the new players in the team said the team will go all out for victory and not underrrate the Ngorongoro Heroes.

“We are not going to relax on the result from the first game,’’begins the dark complexioned forward. “For us, Saturday’s match [today]is a different game altogether and we want to win it”.
Nigeria  will be without reliable forward, Isaac Success, for the game after he failed to link up with his teammates in camp on time, ahead of the fixture.

Coach Garba confirmed on Thursday that the  Granada of Spain striker won’t be able to help Nigeria in the upcoming game.

“I spoke to the player and after our discussion, we agreed that the best thing for him is not to take part in the game. However, he could come around to cheer his teammates from the stands”.
On Thursday morning, the Flying Eagles for the first time  had a feel of the football pitch at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna.

The entire squad was drilled on ball work, set pieces and penalties. They rounded up their preparations at the same venue on Friday morning.
