Mikel Obi has expressed his delight at being back with the Super Eagles ahead of Saturday's 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania in Uyo.
Mikel captained Nigeria's U-23 Eagles to a bronze medal finish in the football event of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
He last featured for the Eagles in their 1-0 defeat against Egypt in the 2017 AFCON qualifier earlier in the year.
He also expressed happiness seeing club team-mate, Victor Moses, back in the Eagles.
"Good to be back with Super Eagles and my man Victor Moses," Mikel wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.
He is expected to be in action for the Eagles in Wednesday's friendly game against Nigeria Professional Football League side Akwa United billed for the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.
