Nigerian born defender, Fikayo Tomori, has joined Derby County on a season loan deal from Chelsea after signing a contract extension at the club until 2021, the Blues official website has announced.
The 20-year-old defender played on a season loan at Hull City last season in the English Championship.
Tomori joins Mason Mount on a season loan at Derby County for the 2018/19 campaign where he will work under the guidance of Chelsea legend Frank Lampard.
Tomori has been at Chelsea since Under-8 level and made his senior debut on the final day of the 2015/16 campaign. He was a part of the England side that won the 2017 FIFA Under-20 in Korea Republic.
Derby County started their season with a 2-1 win at Reading in which Mount scored.
