Nigeria youngster El Amin Ekundayo has joined American outfit Chicago Magic on a two-year deal.
The left-winger was picked by Chicago Magic, an affiliate of French giants, Paris Saint Germain, during trials conducted by Droom Soccer Academy at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
The talented Ekundayo stood out at the trials which were attended by over 200 youths from different parts of the country.
He is expected to spend two years with Chicago Magic from where he will proceed to German club Hannover depending on his performance.
Chicago Magic Soccer Club is a competitive soccer program designed to develop youth players.
They develop players through different competitive platforms to help players reach their true potential by receiving expert coaching along with being placed in an environment that allows players to excel.
Proprietor of Droom Soccer Academy, a subsidiary of Jedipel Groups, Akporobaro Emmanuel, is upbeat that the player will excel at his new club.
“Al Amin Ekundayo is a top talent and we expect him to make a huge impact over there in the United States of America,” Akporobaro explained.
“He was outstanding in the trials we organised in Lagos where over 200 aspiring footballers participated and he will be a blessing to Nigerian football in future.
“He will be leaving the country in a couple of days to start another phase in his life which we all hope will be a remarkable one.”
