Nigeria Professional Football League club Katsina United have parted ways with their techical adviser, Bala Nikyu, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The newly promoted side announced on Tuesday that Nikyu, a former head coach of the Nigeria U-17 Women's team, agreed to leave the club on mutual agreement.
"The club (Katsina United) and coach Nikyu have reached an agreement to part ways after months of working together," reads a statement from the club.
"The management wishes him well in his future endeavor and appreciates him for his services rendered to the club."
Nikyu's assistant Baldwin Bazuaye, a former Nigeria international, will take over on interim basis pending the appointment of a new technical adviser.
Under Nkiyu, Katsina United who spent over a decade in the second-tier Nigeria National League before securing promotion to the top flight at the end of last season, won two, lost two and drew one of their opening five games in the NPFL.
Kastina United will travel to face Niger Tornadoes in Lokoja on Sunday in the NPFL match-day 6 encounter.
