A close source to Nigerian international Ramon Azeez has told Complete Sports exclusively that English Premier League side Swansea are yet to table a formal bid for the player despite reports suggesting the Welsh team are weighing up a move for the £3million-rated midfielder.
The 21-year-old was named Almeria’s Young Player of the Year at the La Liga club last term and he capped his stellar season by featuring in the Nigeria’s squad for the World Cup where he played in the opening draw against Iran in Brazil.
“There have been lots of interest for Ramon but no offer has been made officially yet,” the source told Complete Sports.
“It would be a welcome move for him but we must deal with the concrete offers we have for him at the moment.”
He also assured that Azeez’s £3m buyout clause inserted in his contract will not be a barrier if he gets a concrete offer this summer.
“There’s no problem about that the clause in his contract if there’s an offer for him. Clubs will meet his valuation,” the source added.
