Former Nigerian Professional Football champions Kano Pillars can extend their unbeaten run at at the Sani Abacha Stadium to 17 games if they defeat Wikki Tourists on Wednesday in one of the rescheduled games, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Sai Masu Gida will be without the suspended Chinedu Udoji for the game after he was sent off in their 3-1 win over Enyimba FC International on Sunday. Pillars can also move to third place with a win. The Kadiri Ikhana-led side with five wins, two draws and three defeats this season will be keen to pile more misery on Wikki Tourists who are without a win in their last three games.
Currently languishing in the 19th position, Mohammed Babaganaru's team have not recorded a point away from home this season and they face a daunting task against Pillars who have scored in all five home games this season.
Pillars defeated Enyimba 3-1 last Sunday to move seventh in the table while Wikki Tourist lost 1-0 away to Sunshine Stars in Akure their fifth of the campaign.
At the IfeanyiUbah International Stadium in Nnewi, FC IfeanyiUbah still smarting from their 2-2 draw at home to Abia Warriors will be eager to turn their fortunes around by defeating Remo Stars who are without a win under new coach Fatai Osho after four games.
FC IfeanyiUbah's three NPFL wins have all come at home this season and they are unbeaten at their ground.
