By Adeboye Amosu: Nigeria Professional Football League champions Plateau United will seek to return to winning ways when they host El-Kanemi Warriors in a match day four fixture at the New Jos Stadium on Wednesday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The Tin City club were stunned 1-0 by Abia Warriors on Sunday, their first defeat of the season and sit in the seventh position in the table.
Table toppers Lobi Stars, the only club yet to lose a game in the league this season, will be up against Yobe Desert Stars in Damaturu.
Lobi coach Solomon Ogbeide will hope the team’s top scorer Samad Kadiri, who has scored in two consecutive games, will deliver the goods once again.
Yobe Desert Stars who are back in the top flight after 15 years sit in 13th position with three points.
Sunshine Stars and Rivers United will clash in the biggest game of the round at the Akure Township Stadium.
The visitors head into the game in confident mood following a 2-1 against title contenders Kano Pillars on Sunday, while Sunshine Stars suffered their first defeat of the season against Katsina United.
Seven time champions Enyimba who are in 19th position following two draws and a defeat from their opening three games will entertain Nasarawa United at the UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar on Thursday.
