Hapoel Be'er Sheva forward Anthony Nwakaeme has spoken of his desire to prove he is a good signing when he makes his official debut for the Camels next month in the second round of the Euorpa League clash against FC Thun, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Nwakaeme revealed to Completesportsnigeria.com in an exclusive chat, that his compatriot John Ogu has been of tremendous help to him as he settles down fast in the team. He hopes to surpass the seven goals he scored for his previous team Hapoel Ra'anana last season.
"When I left Hapoel Ra'anana, I knew I was coming to a bigger club and I knew that being surrounded by such a great group of players could have a great impact on my progress, Nwakaeme told Completesportsnigeria.com
"I'm happy I joined Hapoel Be'er Sheva, and I'm eager to surpass my scoring feat of last season."
The former Universitatea Cluj and Petrolul Ploieşti scored seven goals in 25 appearances for Hapoel Ra'anana who finished seventh on the Ligat ha'Al log.
He also admitted that the prospect of playing in the Europa League was another reason he joined the club.
"Now it's all about making sure I hit the ground running as I planned it. and I hope to get to that level and show them what I can do.
"I am hungry to do that and I want to prove I can cut it here."
