On-loan Arsenal midfielder Kelechi Nwakali is eagerly looking forward to hear from Arsene Wenger if he should start preparing for life at the Emirates next season, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Nwakali ended his loan deal at MVV Maastricht over the weekend and he is expected to rejoin Arsenal but the embattled Gunners’ manager will have to decides if the former FIFA U-17 World Cup winner is good enough to join the big league in the club.
The player's agent Olumide Olowu revealed exclusively to Completesportsnigeria.com that he will be opening talks with Wenger in the coming weeks on what the future holds for his client.
“The season just ended in Holland and all things being equal, Nwakali will first return to Arsenal now the loan deal at MVV Maastricht ended this season," Olowu told Completesportsnigeria. com.
“We'll be going into fresh talks with Wenger to know what the future holds for Nwakali. I hope the young man will return to Arsenal and continue to build his future there."
Arsenal signed the Nigeria youngster from the Diamond Football Academy in Nigeria on a five-year deal.
Nwakali was named the FIFA U-17 World Cup player of the tournament in Chile in 2015 after a resounding performance with Nigeria and caught the attention of the North London club.
