GODWIN OBAJE (WIKKI TOURISTS, 2015/2016: 18 Goals)

Godwin Obaje emerged top scorer in the Nigeria Professional Football League last season.

Playing for Wikki Tourists, Obaje finished with 18 goals to claim the golden boot.

Obaje's goals were intrumental as thet helped Wikki seal a CAF Confederation Cup ticket.

Obaje now plays for IfeanyiUbah after failed attempts to seal a deal abroad.

Now plying his trade with Finnish top flight team KuPS, Gbolahan was the highest goal scorer in the NPFL in the 2014/2015 campaign while playing for Warri Wolves.

Salami scored 17 goals for Warri Wolves which saw them finish runners-up in the final league standing.

His goal-scoring feat led to him joining Red Star on loan and also go on trial with Aston Villa before finally signing for KuPS in 2016.

Warri Wolves now play in the Nigeria National League after they got relegated last season.

MFON UDOH (ENYIMBA, 2013/2014: 23 Goals)

Mfon Udoh is currently the highest ever goal scorer in the history of the Nigeria Professional Football League.

Udoh shattered the league goal record when he scored 23 goals in a single season in the 2013/2014 campaign with Enyimba.

His achievement that season made him the first player since the Nigerian top flight became professional in 1990 to score more than 20 goals in one season.

Udoh's feat was not enough as Enyimba could only finish second in the league.

Udoh and his Enyimba teammates got consolation in the Federation Cup that same season as they beat Dolphins 2-1 in the final with Udoh scoring one of the goals.

VICTOR NAMO (NASARAWA UNITED, 2012/2013: 18 Goals)

In the 2012/2013 Nigeria league season, Nasarawa United's Victor Namo picked up the golden boot.

Namo, who won the league title with Kano Pillars in the 2007/2008 and 2011/2012 seasons, found the back of the net 18 times but Nasarawa finished a disappointing 13th in the league table.

Namo's impressive performances attracted interest abroad as he left Nasarawa to join Al Ahly Benghazi of Libya in January 2014 and is still with the North African team.

SIBI GWAR (NIGER TORNADOES, 2011/2012: 17 Goals)

After emerging top scorer in the Nigeria League in 2008, Sibi Gwar repeated the feat in the 2011/2012 season with Niger Tornadoes.

Gwar, who left Kwara United for Niger Tornadoes in 2011, scored 17 goals to pick up the Golden Boot.

Unfortunately, Niger Tornadoes got relegated to the Nigeria National League that same season.

Gwar's performance did not go unnoticed as he got an invitation to the Super Eagles squad in 2012 by the late Stephen Keshi for a friendly against Niger Republic.
