Liverpool have made a definitive statement regarding their player Philippe Coutinho and his proposed move to Barcelona.
The Spanish club have been pursuing the Brazil midfielder all summer, especially after selling Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain for a world record transfer fee of €222m.
Liverpool have rejected bids of up to €100m for Coutinho and manager Jurgen Klopp has insisted that his star player is not for sale.
Now, the Reds have issued an official statement on their website to finally put an end to the matter.
"We wish to offer clarity as regards our position on a possible transfer of Philippe Coutinho," the terse statement says.
"The club’s definitive stance is that no offers for Philippe will be considered and he will remain a member of Liverpool Football Club when the summer window closes."
