Hapoel Be’er Sheva midfielder John Ogu is disappointed at his side exited from the Europa League competition, losing 2-1 on the night and 3-2 on aggregate to FC Thun.
The Nigeria international who scored a 30 yard stunner in the sixth encounter before a 20th minute red card to Shir Tzedek hampered the Israeli club’s chances of a qualification.
The 26 year old midfielder however prayed for better luck in subsequent games as he is now focused on the Ligat Al, the Toto Cup and the Israeli Cup competitions with Hapoel Be’er Sheva.
“Gutted about tonight’s game, but I wish for better luck next season and focusing on Toto Cup, the Israeli Cup and league. Many Work to do,” Ogu wrote on hisTwitter handle.
A goal in each half by Nelson Ferreira cancelled out Ogu’s strike to seal the Swiss side passage to the next round.
