Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu says he is looking forward to an improved performance for next season with his Israeli club Hapoel Be’er Sheva, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Ogu was a key player for Hapoel Be’er Sheva last season as they retained the Israeli league title last season.
The title success means Hapoel Be’er Sheva will feature in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers in the new season.
Ogu made 30 league appearances for Hapoel last season, scoring one goal.
“Updating from above!! Heading back to work with a lot of positive thoughts for the upcoming season!!!Time to be better than my last season,” the Nigeria midfielder wrote on Twitter on Sunday.
Despite being invited by coach Gernot Rohr, Ogu was left out the Super Eagles squad that lost 2-0 to South Africa in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo last Saturday.
