By Johnny Edward: Fortuna Sittard’s manager, Sunday Oliseh, is eager to see his side return to winning ways tonight (Friday) when they face FC Volendam in a Dutch second division league clash, Completesportsnigeria.com (CSN) reports.
Fortuna Sittard have suffered consecutive defeats to Dordrecht and FC Emmen in their last two games, a setback which has seen the Limburg side drop to third in the Dutch second division league table.
Oliseh’s men are now two points adrift leaders NEC Nijmegen and one behind second place Jong Ajax with 44 points from 22 games.
“We just have to pick ourselves up again and start another run till the end of the season,” the former Super Eagles captain and coach told CSN.
“Two of our first team defenders who missed our last two defeats are expected back in the squad and hopefully, we should get a positive result but don’t forget that Volendam are also on a decent run as well.”
