Oliseh Praises Super Eagles, Picks Four Standout Players After Win Over Iceland

Oliseh Praises Super Eagles, Picks Four Standout Players After Win Over Iceland

By James Agberebi:

Former Nigeria captain Sunday Oliseh has stated that the Super Eagles Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign is back on track after they beat Iceland 2-0 in their second Group D game in Volgograd on Friday.

After a lacklustre first half performance that saw the Super Eagles fail to register a single shot on target, they stormed back in the second half with Ahmed Musa scoring both goals.

The Leicester City star’s first goal was a delight to watch as he skillfully controlled Victor Moses’ cross before firing it into the net.

His second goal saw him race towards a long pass, go past his marker, round the keeper before coolly slotting it into the net.

Oliseh, a former coach of the Super Eagles, praised the whole team especially Francis Uzoho, Wilfred Ndidi, Leon Balogun and Musa for their performance.

“Our World Cup 2018 is on! Great result for the Super Eagles vs Iceland. The boys all did well especially in d 2nd half, particularly impressed with Musa,Ndidi, Uzoho & Balogun. Great that you all supported & prayed like we implored earlier, cheers guys,” the two-time FIFA World Cup star (USA 1994, France 1998) wrote on his verified Twitter handle.

Useless Oliseh, if Rhor has abandoned the team the way you did, where will you think we will be. Besides, you should be ashamed of yourself, you left this team in tatters and now someone else has come to take over and build the team and now you’re praising the team you abandoned

I am surprised at the uncivilized manner someone u on this forum insult people and call names. Why insulting Olise who honorably resigned as the eagles coach. Is it a crime to resign from yoir duty post when tje terms and work condiction is not favorable? He has done no wrong warranting this insult. Pls lets watch our manners in d public

Oliseh should be told to bounce and fuck outta here damn it. Mediocre administration is a norm in Africa but dude foolishly abandon us and betrayed our love and support for him many years impromptu! We use to love oliseh so much but he forgot EVERYTHING and left our super Eagles in more disarray and we subsequently fail to qualify for the cup of nations. Oliseh NOW wants to identify with TEAM? Common sense no common for oliseh at all.

Please leave oliesh out of this. NNF knows how to frustrate indigenous national team coaches, Siasia and Amodu are some of the examples.

  • Love u oliseh. If  the environment is not conducive for one, he can honorably resign.may be to stay afar and study de environment better

I think Oliseh should be left alone as he is entitled to his own opinion. Let’s just keep praying for our team to go far in the tournament.

    • Yes the so-called oliseh deserved insult because he too dose not respect anybody, I remember when he was SE capt.how he use to be so arrogant ,and again how he handled Vincent Enyeama’s lssue.if not that God brought Uzoho we would have gone to wold cup without a good keeper and even that Uzoho still need time to become wold class keeper like Enyeama

Na wowoo for some people, we Nigerian always live in sentiments we need to face reality, if we don’t love our game no one will do that for us, NFF needs to take all the insults not oliseh, we tend to make environment easy and comfortable for foreigners than ourselves,  we don’t love ourselves. The way NFF treats our indeginous coaches is not right they need to stop it.. we love our game we have patriotic Nigerians who knows us and can handle our game well but due to stupid politics played by administrators these coaches can not be given opportunities,
Oliseh well done, its heart broken to see how some Nigerian think. Well you live outside Nigeria you will understand how backward some of us are but the killing part is to realize the problem is not hard to be solve but for some just refuse to change for no just course..
