By Johnny Edward: Fortuna Sittard’s Nigerian manager Sunday Oliseh hopes his side can rise to the occasion in Monday’s Dutch second division clash away to Jong PSV as he targets his 20th win in charge of the club, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
A win for Fortuna Sittard in the encounter will see the Limburg side move back to second place in the table.
Oliseh’s side have made an impressive start to the Dutch second division league campaign this season, winning nine of their opening 15 Dutch games, drawing two and losing four to occupy third place in the table.
Since taking charge of the team in January, Oliseh has recorded 19 wins, eight draws and nine defeats in 36 games.
But Oliseh says Fortuna Sittard will not be carried away by their position in the Jupiler League table
“I’m happy the results a coming good with the limited resources we have,” Oliseh told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“It will be amazing to achieve that against Jong PSV who are equally a good side but we want to take each game as it comes and hope for the best.
“We have achieved quite a number of things this season and one is that we won’t be battling relegation and we are through to the third round of the Dutch Cup for the first time in 18 years so we won’t be carried away.”
