Super Eagles defender,Kenneth Omeruo was one of the four changes Middlesbrough boss, Aitor Karanka made from the side that lost at Hillsborough on Saturday when the club hosted Millwall at the Riverside last night.
Boro were so pathetic at Hillsborough against Sheffield Wednesday but the performance that got most criticism from club fans was that of Chelsea loanee Omeruo.
The Nigeria international was with the club for half of last season and was fantastic for Karanka’s men. With that in mind, Boro fans were more than happy to see him return to Teesside in the summer.
However, this season has been far less impressive and Saturday was perhaps his worst performance of the campaign yet.
He gave away the penalty and was a liability throughout proceedings in Yorkshire. Then, when subbed off in the 58th minute, he stormed down the tunnel in a huff.
Omeruo once looked like one of the best prospects to make it at Chelsea, after starring for Boro and his Nigerian national team.
Now he looks far from the standard required to make the grade.
