Nigerian defender Kenneth Omeruo is estactic over his Kasimpasa’s 1-0 win over Akhisar Belediyespor which saw them move to within two points of the Europa League spot.
The win leaves Kasimpasa on 43 points from 28 games, two short of İstanbul Başakşehir’s 45 who drew 1-1 away at Trabzonspor.
The Super Eagles defender who was making his 21st appearance in the Turkish Lig Al was also delighted at his team’s sixth clean sheet of the season.
He wrote via his twitter handle @Omeruo22 after his side’s win: “What a win and a clean sheet… We are getting there.”
Omeruo who missed Nigeria’s double header against Egypt last month and last featured for the Super Eagles in June last year was yellow carded on the stroke of half time in the encounter.
He is currently on his third loan spell away from Chelsea, having spent the last two seasons at Middlesbrough.
